Cetatea Bologa

Bologa Fortress was built in the 13th century to guard the road between Transylvania and Crișana. Today its ruins stand perched on a hill, with a superb panorama over the Crișul Repede valley.

It makes a short and pleasant stop, especially on the way from Cluj towards Rogojel. A few minutes' climb up the path brings you beside the old tower, from where you can see the village of Bologa and the river winding below.
